Psalm 127:3-5
At Sacred Soils Farm, our mission is to raise children up in the instruction of the Lord,
Ephesians 6:4. For our family, farming is the best vehicle to accomplish this goal.
We believe that sustainable farming practices are essential for the health of our family, our customers, and our planet. We practice regenerative farming, rotational grazing.
We are proud to produce grass fed, Non-GMO, no growth hormones meats: beef, pork, lamb, chicken. We use this medium to teach our children many life skills: value of life, hard work, and integrity, and the fruits of hard work.
Welcome
We at Sacred Soils Farm, SSF, strive to use our current season to prepare for the coming seasons. What does that look like? The new year starts with winter; winter requires hay. Hay was cut in the previous year’s summer, but that required seed planting in its previous year’s fall. Winter also means silage, which was also a product of the previous year’s summer. Silage!?!? Wait, isn’t that made from corn? I thought you were grass fed? Slow your roll; you can go to our blog to read more on how we do silage and maintain an honest grass fed farm, but this is a meet and greet text box, so I have to stay focused.
The idea is that our preparation in this season can help alleviate problems that can arise in the future season: weeds, pests, weather stressors. By planning, we strive to provide high quality meat products that are consistent, nutrient dense, and free from harmful toxins.
So in striving to succeed in our primary mission goal, this mindset and practice teaches invaluable life lessons for our kids. The things we learn, practice, and do today help prepare for the stressors of tomorrow.
2 Corinthians 5:9-10, we discipline ourselves and our children to be prepared for that day of judgement, 1 Corinthians 15.
